Dream job

31 Jul

I think I’ll retire from PPA and see if I can convince them to pay me $20 million over, say, 20 years, to not come back to work.

That is absolutely insane.  If there’s truth to the rumor – which there probably isn’t – the gamble is huge.  Favre is proven.  Any team should be delighted to have him – understanding that not every coach likes the gunslinger mentality.  I’m impressed, in a way, that the Packers are working so hard to keep their word to Aaron Rodgers.  That’s noble.  I have no idea if he’s worthy of the trust or not – I really hope he is.  I’m willing, as a Packers fan, to “invest” in Rodgers.  I like guys who work hard and give their best, and he appears to be willing to do so.

But man, oh, man, do I dread September 21.

Why do people named Steve like Dallas so much???

Nard…you beat me to the punch…I’ve written a post about this very thing for tomorrow…around 12:30 AM…if you want to get up and read it…after all the news coming out of GB, you probably aren’t sleeping anyway!

I’ve made a counter offer to GB!

Why am I for Dallas…think about it…I am an Alabama native…do you think I would ever cheer for the Falcons? Give me a break…

I am a big Miami fan as well…Don Shula was a great coach!

Hey, Debs! Thanks for dropping by! This isn’t always a sports blog, but sometimes it is :)

Steve – A church buddy named Steve is also a huge Dallas fan; it’s gonna be a rough year.

    Poor Falcons.

I used to be a 49ers fan because I loved Joe, but the advent of Brett somehow made me switch to the Pack. Always like to see the Panthers do well, but we rarely enjoy that privilege. Also a Colts fan, because all good fans have an AFC and a NFC team…

Karma’s dad was a huge Dolphins fan (he passed away in 2002) and we watched a lot of games together, so there’s a little soft spot in both our hearts for the Marino era.

I’ve about worn out espn.com. I don’t really like the thought of Brett coming back, as much as I loved his style and his “persona”. I think, however, that they owe him enough to trade him to somebody decent. I don’t want to see him wear something else, however, and I sure don’t want him with the Vikes.

Maybe Brett will come back to the Falcons where he started…and you and I can become Falcon fans…as long as he doesn’t develop an interest in pit bulls…
