I tend to feel guilty about not finishing a book – especially one of a religious variety. I rarely do, but it feels wrong to say “Yeah, I’ve read that” if I didn’t finish the entire book.
Of course, it’s also wrong to say “No, I’ve not read that” if I’ve started, so I have a lot of books in my “history” that I’ve partially read.
The Bible is one of those partials.
