Monday Mawnings

4 May

  • Kari Jobe.  Revelation Song.  Enough said.
  • Anne Jackson and the Compassion Bloggers are back home.  Read it.  Pray about it.  Listen to God.  Do what He says.
  • 5 am is early.
  • Kyle Busch.  Tony Stewart.  Richmond.
  • Bretty Favre.  Good grief.  Just go away.  I loved you but I’m sick of it.  Sick, I mean.
  • Am I a Braves fan?  I can’t decide.

I confess that I have never been a big “female” singer person-no matter the style of music-but Kari has captured my ear big time. This is an awesome song!

I’d rather hear a girl sing than a guy any day. Even in non-religious context. Funny thing about “preferences”, huh. :) Thanks for stopping in!

    I know I need counseling.

I’m trying to decide who I like in baseball these days. Once WAS a Pirates fan, but I was 7 and got over it.

That, my friend, was a low blow. So…you are just a fair-weather fan then? Who cares if it has been over 10 seasons since they had a winning season? Who cares if it has been I don’t know how many since a World Series (1979)? But who is counting?

    A friendly low blow :)

I really was a Pirates fan in 2nd grade. In 3rd or 4th, somewhere around there, I was basically a Yankees fan because I read a book about Mickey Mantle. DiMaggio was awesome, too.

Sometime in the ’90s, I started liking the Braves. Fred McGriff, Bobby Cox, Greg Maddux, etc.

The team is terribly different now. But I can’t decide if I care or not. It’s bizarre, “coming back” to a sport. I’ve not cared enough about baseball to sneeze at for several years now.

Who knows. “Fair weather” is a bit painful to take, as I consider myself an incredibly loyal fan ONCE I DECIDE TO BE A FAN. I’m a Tar Heels and Packers fan, bar nothing. Baseball is yet undecided.

I was once a Bulls fan, but I can’t stand NBA ball in general, right now. That was mostly a Jordan thing, so who knows.
