Galatians 5:14
“For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Wow. Everything that was given as “law” was given because mankind doesn’t do very well with this. It had to be a law before anyone would do it.
But love is bigger.
Love gives. Love doesn’t relent only when forced to, love gives in freely. Do I love like that?
Love doesn’t ask for something in return. Do I love like that?
Love genuinely cares. Love seeks out someone to help. Do I love like that?
Love is more concerned about the wellbeing and the soul of someone than about being embarrassed or persecuted. Do I love like that?
Love is more concerned about the happiness of someone else than my own peace and quiet. Do I love like that?
Do I need the law to force me to love my neighbor as myself, or do I genuinely love because the grace of God has been showered on me and the Holy Spirit has written this commandment on my heart?
Oh, Lord, may it be like that.

I like where you went with this. A reminder I desperately needed today. Every day we need to choose to be this way, some days I fail miserably… but I’m off to a good start today!
Was the law designed to force us to love as we ought, or to show us that we cannot, and point us to Christ, in whom we can by the poser of His Spirit?
Just asking.
“Just asking.”
I doubt it
I’m pretty sure you’re making a point here
