I have no idea why they call it “Blue Letter Bible“. But they do.
I use www.youversion.com a lot, or Bible Gateway, but this looks intriguing. Not quite as well done as youVersion, but still good stuff. Check it out.
I REALLY like paper and ink books in the world of Bible study. I’m not sure why; it’s probably because my college education was done just prior to the Internet / Information Age. We actually went to a library, referenced a card catalog, pulled a bunch of books off a shelf, and used the index to find out if the guy had written anything of relevance. That, you see, to me, was the “good old days”.
But I’ll use online tools when necessary, because I simply can’t afford enough good books, and Crossroads doesn’t have a very extensive library. Well, really we don’t HAVE a library, just a bookshelf full of donated books for the borrowing.
All of us Christians can use good tools as we seek to be LIKE CHRIST.

For reasons I really don’t know, I’ve liked Chuck Swindoll for a long time. I remember listening to him as a kid on 106.9 WMIT (before they became “The Light”) and I even enjoyed him then.
But now I’m really happy with him.

I tend to feel guilty about not finishing a book – especially one of a religious variety. I rarely do, but it feels wrong to say “Yeah, I’ve read that” if I didn’t finish the entire book.
Of course, it’s also wrong to say “No, I’ve not read that” if I’ve started, so I have a lot of books in my “history” that I’ve partially read.
The Bible is one of those partials.
